Farewell to my career in education

YogaPebbles Children's Yoga

After 21 years in the classroom and 12 years in Special Education, I will be leaving my job as a teacher in July. And saying hello to the next chapter at YogaPebbles!

I can’t believe the time has come to press pause on my career in education. But it won’t be the end of my teaching.

This decision hasn’t been easy. I’m nervous and sad to say goodbye to my class, classroom and fellow teachers. But I’m also incredibly proud, excited and happy to see where YogaPebbles takes me next.

I’m so grateful that teaching – especially in my school – has given me fantastic opportunities to explore and share my passions.

Mostly, I want to say a massive thank you to all my yogis, minis, tweens, teens, adults, families, schools and nurseries. They have allowed me to share this wonderful, life-changing practice with them. You are my best teachers.

If you would like to join my YogaPebbles tribe or would like to see yoga in your child’s school, nursery – or in your workplace – please get in touch.

Exciting plans for the next year…

  • I will be completing my Trauma-Informed Yoga Training in the autumn.
  • I’m working for an education charity as part of its Social and Emotional Development program for young people.
  • I’ll be offering yoga to groups of young people in Special Education as part of their individual learning programs.
  • And I’m training in Yoga and Mindfulness Coming-of-Age Circles for Girls.
