My Yoga Fundamentals – for Beginners and Beyond runs once a week at the Elgar Centre in Upton. This class is for you if you are new to yoga or have had a break from your practice. It may also be that you wish to go back to the beginning again to reconnect with yoga movements.
Through focusing on the breath, we learn to gently build strength and flexibility with the aid of props, through movement sequences and holds, (postures) ending with relaxation and a chance to rest your body and mind. This Fundamentals yoga class will help you develop strength and balance, increase overall fitness, improve your joint and muscle flexibility, reduce stress and aid sleep.
The group is kept small to ensure you have space to practise safely and can receive support to find what feels right in your body. This class is about you and for you, to help you find your way into or back into your body.
